Relationships, Sex and Health Education
Last Summer (2020) we let parents know that from September 2020 all pupils at our school would be taught Relationships and Health Education. This is in line with the Government’s statutory guidance ‘Relationships Education, Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) and Health Education statutory guidance: Relationships Education, Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) and Health Education.
At the end of the last academic year the staff and governors updated our Personal, Social, Health Education and Relationships and Sex Education Policy in line with Jigsaw. Jigsaw is the scheme that we use to deliver the PSHE RSE lessons to all the children. This policy is linked here.
A short and simple guide for parents about understanding Relationships and Health Education in primary school can be found here RSE_primary_schools_guide_for_parents.pdf.
This leaflet also provides information for parents about Jigsaw and the teaching of relationships in our school. RSHE-A-Guide-for-Parents-and-Carers-leaflet-2020.pdf
We hope that you find all the information useful. If you have any questions or would like to discuss anything further then please do get in touch with Zara d'Archambaud zdarchambaud@garsingtonprimary.org or one of our governors Sarah Brush sbrush@garsingtonprimary.org.
