We are very excited to host another International Evening, planned for Thursday 12th October 6-7pm in the school hall. If you can help your child's class celebrate the food and culture of a specific country then please do speak to the class teachers direct.
This year we will be celebrating the cultures of:
Japan, British Isles, Poland, Italy, India, Holland, Denmark, Australia, USA, Albania, Austria & Spain!
Our last annual International Evening took place on Thursday 20th October 2016. Lots of families came into school to celebrate different cultures and customs from around the world. At the start of the evening children were given a passport and at each 'country' they received a stamp. Those who traveled to all the different countries received a small prize at the end.
Each class represented a country or group of countries and had a stall with food and activities linked to that country. Foundation Stage & Year 1: Great Britain; Year 2: China; Year 3: Australia; Year 4: Mexico; Year 5: France; and Year 6: Japan. We were also very grateful to those parent helpers who also ran stalls reflecting their family's cultural heritage from Jamaica, India, Scotland and Russia.
