Penelope Woolf, Co-opted Governor
My motivation for becoming governor is personal and professional. On a personal level I strongly believe in education as a way of creating opportunities and developing a passion for a subject. I can still remember the teachers who inspired in me a love of reading. On a professional level, I have worked with educators over the last thirty years. I want to use what I have learnt from them together with my business skills to give something back. I’m interested in the evidence-based agenda in education and ensuring that we use evidence and research to inform practice. I hope to use my skills and experience to work with the governing body to support the school and give the children the best possible start in life.
